Abolition of the SIAE monopoly on copyright intermediation, diffusion of free software in the PA and new frequency assignment procedure with elimination of the beauty contest. These are three of the 15 proposed amendments to the liberalization decree, presented today in a press conference in the Senate by the associations Agorà Digitale, Article 21, the Italian Internet Provider Association, the Italian Association for Open Government, Assoprovider, Altroconsumo, the Institute for Innovation, Libertiamo, the States General of Innovation (Sgi) and the Sarzana Law Firm. The objective of the package, as Luca Nicotra of Agorà Digitale explained, is "to eliminate as soon as possible the constraints and obstacles for those who want to innovate in this country".
