this theabstracts of the panel curated by SGI: “The Digital Twin concept applied to the context of smart cities/communities is still little debated in Italy. The inclusion of the Digital Twin increases the complexity of a city/territory, rather than representing a tool made available by technical-scientific progress which it is essential to adopt to simplify the development of the city. It will therefore also be necessary to pay attention to the forms of communication adopted to introduce the Digital Twin in the context of urban communities. The Digital Twin as a "bridge" between the physical world and the virtual world requires the deepening of the need for humanistic skills induced by the Digital Transformation. A context, this, in which comparisons and collaborations with the experts of the Digital Humanities: to explore the conditions and ways in which these can favor participation in decision-making processes, facilitating communication between administrations and citizens”.
AIUCD, scheduled from 19 to 22 January 2021 in digital form, is organized by the Digital Culture Laboratory of the University of Pisa and the CNR with the "A.Zampolli" Institute of Computational Linguistics (ILC), the Institute of Science and Information Technologies "A.Faedo" (ISTI) and by CLARIN-IT.
