University of Bari and States General of Innovation
present
"Innovation policies, third mission and territorial development"
19 January 2015 (15.00-19.00) – Former Palazzo delle Poste in Bari
Discuss and explore innovation policies, in the digital field and beyond, among new economic chains, enhancement of local knowledge, support for youth entrepreneurship. It is the aim of the conference "Innovation policies, third mission and territorial development" organized by the General States of Innovation and the University of Bari as part of the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the university. The event will be held on Monday 19 January in Bari (ex Palazzo delle Poste, piazza Cesare Battisti, from 3 to 7 pm) and looks in particular at the role of small and medium-sized enterprises and at the University's third mission, the one which aims to transfer the research and knowledge in the production chains to promote the economic, social and cultural growth of the communities.
The works will be opened from Prof. Flavia Marzano, President of the States General of Innovation and since prof. Joseph Pirlo, contact person of the University of Bari for the Digital Agenda and Smart City. A greeting is expected to follow prof. Antonio Uricchio, Rector of the University of Bari.
Among the speakers at the conference: Loredana Capone (Councillor of the Puglia Region), Marco Lacarra (Municipal Councilor with responsibility for the Smart City), Alessandro Delli Noci (City councilor of Lecce), Diego De Lorenzis (Deputy), Michele Emiliano (San Severo City Councillor), Alexander Ambrosi (President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bari), Hannibal D'Elia (Apulia Region Manager), John DiMonde (INPS Director Puglia Region), Max Dell'Erba (President LASERINN), Leonard Pellicani (President of Young Entrepreneurs Confartigianato Puglia), Mariella Pappalepore (President of the Innovative Tertiary and Communication section of Confindustria Bari and Bat)
Two parallel "open talks" planned within the event, introduced by Joseph Iacono (President of the Italian Institute of Open Data) and by Vincent Patruno (ISTAT):
- “CHow to make SMEs more innovative” coordinated by Massimo Zotti (shaker) e Morena Ragone (rapporteur)
- “How to facilitate the transition of young people to the innovative entrepreneurial dimension” coordinated by Prof. John Semeraro (shaker) e Milly Tucci (rapporteur).
The event also represents the birth certificate of the General States of Innovation-Puglia, the regional branch of the association committed to promoting the improvement of the social and technological conditions of the country through civic participation, the creativity of young people, the reduction of digital divides, the renewal of the state through open government.
