Smart City Now – Conference & Expo, now in its fourth edition, scheduled for 25 and 26 November 2020 in digital mode, is the event where companies and public administrations meet to discuss and discuss urban innovation and find the most effective solutions in the Smart Cities sector and Communities.
States General of Innovation will be present with the president Fulvio Ananasso, which on November 26 will talk about “5G and Smart Cities” as part of the panel "5G and digital infrastructures of the Smart City".
«5G is a technology that not only improves and replaces the 4G mobile network – explains Ananasso – but surpasses it integrating the entire network (fixed + mobile) through an "orchestrated" architecture end to end. However, it not only represents a faster network with lower latency, but is capable of enabling a large number of innovative services through network slices — production control, e-health / telemedicine, smart grid, intelligent transport / autonomous driving or semi -autonomous, augmented/virtual reality applications, telecontrol, etc. All with planning and optimal use of resources (“software"), overcoming the limits of current technologies which generally provide for vertical applications on dedicated ad hoc infrastructures, and making possible concurrent applications on shared network resources".
