The President of the DiCultHer Network School, Prof. Gianmaria Ajani, Magnificent Rector of the University of Turin and Dr. Caterina Bon of Valsassina and Madrisio, Director General of the Directorate General for Education and Research of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, signed this afternoon at the headquarters of the Conference of Italian University Rectors, an important Memorandum of Understanding aimed at the implementation, within the National Plan for Education on Cultural Heritage, of training methodologies and of acquisition of skills in the Digital Cultural Heritage sector.<\/p>\n
The agreement between the Directorate General for Education and Research of MiBACT and the DiCultHer Network School, of which SGI is one of the founders, was created to guarantee context and implementation developments for the 'right of every citizen to be educated in knowledge and responsible use of cultural heritage', in the belief that cultural heritage, in addition to enabling processes of identity construction, citizenship education and the promotion of intercultural dialogue, increasingly represents a driving force for development and a strategic resource in contributing, through digital technology, to new ways of sharing knowledge.<\/p>\n
An important commitment for the DiCultHer Network School \u2013 the Director General, Dr. Bon di Valsassina and Madrisio, who was called to collaborate \u2013 intended to clarify \u2013 in observance of the principles and contents of Art. 9 of the Constitution and together with the various institutional subjects and the educational services of the places of culture of the MiBACT - to the design of the national training and education system for cultural heritage, thanks to the identification of shared interventions for the development of sector knowledge, for the professional updating and to bring the different types of public (school, adult, with special needs, etc.) closer to the national and European cultural and scientific heritage.<\/p>\n
A significant acknowledgment for the School - as the President, Prof. Ajani reiterated - designed to support the training of specific skills in Digital Cultural Heritage, the full integration between the various disciplinary areas and the requests for conservation and protection of cultural heritage both analog and digital.<\/p>\n
It is a further, strong moment of cooperative confrontation able to follow up \u2013 through the implementation of contests aimed at promoting cultural 'ownership' and engagement, especially among young people \u2013 to the creation of a digital knowledge design system applied to heritage and endowed with 'creativity' as a governance tool to address, through the conscious use of digital and with innovative approaches, the safeguarding, participatory access and management of places of culture.<\/p>\n
Stati Generali dell'Innovazione has been at the forefront of this effort for several months as leader within the network for the organization and management of the competition "Crowddreaming: young people co-create digital culture". At the moment 85 schools throughout Italy are working to participate in the creation of a real digital monument dedicated to the contribution of Italian culture to the digital future of global society. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
