And &quot;smart working&quot; is one of the strategic keys to speeding up this process given that in Italy, according to the Smart Working Observatory of the Milan Polytechnic, companies could save as much as 37 billion euros a year, over 2% of the GDP, of which 10 only from logistics\u00bb. This is what emerged during the<\/span><b style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">annual event of the States General of Innovation<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0which was held today at the headquarters of the Lazio Region, in Rome. An intense day of discussion on the country&#039;s digital needs, the prospects for efficiency in the face of climate change, the legislative processes that accompany modernization at a local and national level.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>Stati Generali dell&#039;Innovazione has proposed &quot;mobile work by default&quot; for the Public Administration included in the Growth 2.0 decree but substantially ignored by the administrations themselves: \u00abThere is the possibility of improving the way of working in large sectors of Italian society, the legislation in part as well, but now we need to act, says Nello Iacono, vice president of the General States of Innovation - we are launching an appeal to Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, so that the legislation is applied in the Public Administration, and we go further by promoting work in mobility for all&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Many topics were discussed during the event which was attended, among others, by Mario Tozzi (journalist and commissioner of the Appia Antica Regional Park), Livio De Santoli (energy manager of La Sapienza University of Rome), Laura Puppato (PD senator ), Anna Ascani, (PD deputy), Teresa Petrangolini, (PD regional councilor), Anna Masera (journalist and press office head of the Chamber), Rosy Battaglia (freelance journalist), Imma Battaglia (president of the Information Systems and Smart City commission of Roma Capitale), Marco Fratoddi (director of the General States of Innovation and national secretariat of Legambiente), Carlo Infante (director of the General States of Innovation and president of Urban Experience), Flavia Marzano (president of the General States of Innovation).<\/p>\n<p>\u00abIn Italy the Public Administration\u00a0<b>it sends 130 million registered letters every year, for a cost of 936 million euros<\/b>\u00a0throughout Italy, considering the total costs of labour, it reaches 2.4 billion. \u2013 said Laura Puppato \u2013 These are the segments on which we need to intervene, the government is already working to overcome these inefficiencies and promote the digital agenda, cloud computing and broadband\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Teresa Petrangolini, regional councilor of Lazio, announced the launch of a law on transparency and participation: \u00abA very important program called \u201cOpen Council\u201d is about to be launched \u2013 she explained on the sidelines of the debate \u2013 which will allow to all citizens to keep under control what happens in the Regional Council, which means: the work of the councilors, the laws they present, the situation of the groups, in short, all those questions which are usually quite obscure for the collectivity&quot;. To this end, it is strategic to promote digital citizenship education: \u00abThe digital school plan must lead to innovation in teaching and in the instrumentation of all schools, without creating gaps between institutes of excellence and those without basic tools, transversally engaging the disciplines towards this goal,\u201d he said<b>\u00a0<\/b>Anna Ascani, deputy of the Democratic Party and member of the parliamentary intergroup for technological innovation. \u00abMore and more public administrations are bringing together political will and the expertise of technicians, the challenge is to create a system to modernize the country by adapting it to the objectives of the &quot;European digital agenda&quot; which is the basis for truly sustainable development and a driving force for the green economy also thanks to the conscious and shared use of technologies\u00bb commented Flavia Marzano, president of the General States of Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Among the key points of the day also gender digital rights with the round table of the Wister network (Women for Intelligence and Smart TERritories) and the scenario of Open innovation as the key to a new corporate culture inspired by transparency and the collaborative model (this is where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statigeneralinnovazione.it\/en\/roadmap-roma-smart-city-7-marzo-tappa-sullo-smart-working-la-creativita-connettiva-del-coworking-urbano\/\">focus on smart working)<\/a> with the talk conducted by Carlo Infante with Renzo Provedel. Finally, a discussion session was held as part of the public consultation for the National Program for culture, training and digital skills.
