SMW_CERCHI2Turin, the city symbol of the automobile, will become the emblem of mobility in the 21st century: sustainable, digital, integrated.

The 26 and 27 September the Lingotto Congress Center in Turin will host the first edition of Smart Mobility World, an event able to offer a complete vision on the themes of smart cities and of Green Mobility. A new initiative organized in Turin, the European leading city for the development of ITS services and infomobility for "smart cities", and technologies for ecological cars and sustainable transport (www.smartmobilityworld.eu).

Smart Mobility World was born from the integration of two already consolidated international forums, Telemobility Forum, since 2002 the most exclusive ITS event in Italy: a bridge that unites industry professionals, institutions and technology suppliers and, ITN Infrastructures & Technologies for the Smart City, since 2009 the only Italian event that offers a supply-demand meeting service dedicated to digital infrastructures for future Smart Cities and the Digital Agenda. These are joined by the Green Cars Forum, focused on technological innovation aimed at producing clean, low-emission cars. Smart Mobility World will therefore be an opportunity to examine the complete scenario of technologies for sustainable mobility for the present and the future.

Smart Mobility World is organized by ClickutilityTeam, GL events Italia-Lingotto Fiere and Innovability, with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, City of Turin, Piedmont Region and Piedmont Confindustria, in partnership with some of the most prestigious national and international associations, including TTS ITALIA, Unrae and Cei Cives.

Innovative, dynamic and interactive, the format includes – alongside prestigious institutional interventions, conferences and expos, international case stories, networking opportunities and business meetings – engaging test drives on the historic test circuit located on the roof of the Lingotto and social events for an specialist that combines knowledge and business.
Many topics were covered during the sessions: digital agenda and smart city, smart security & emergency, Galileo, open data & smart GIS, AVL/AVM and fleet management, e-ticketing and smart parking, on-board telematics and car sensors, and more, electric and hybrid vehicles, networked cars and self-driving cars, recharging systems and technologies for electric mobility.

A good omen for the new Forum is represented by the numbers of the 2012 edition of Telemobility and ITN: 1,957 Visitors; 151 Speakers; 44 Sponsors and Exhibitors; 33 Partners, Institutions and Associations, 253 B2B Meetings.

Also for 2013, then, the Brokerage Event is confirmed, strong of the 227 appointments of 2012. A special event organized by the Turin Chamber of Commerce as part of the Enterprise Europe Network with the aim of promoting bilateral meetings between companies, universities and research centers from all over Europe dealing with
digital technologies for Smart Mobility and the Smart City.

Finally, the program includes the second edition of the B2B meetings of the Smart Mobility, Logistics, Automotive chain organized by TOSM-Torino Software & System Meeting, a project promoted and supported by the Turin Chamber of Commerce and the Turin Industrial Union, with the collaboration of Fondazione Torino Wireless and Ceipiemonte: the supply chain includes companies that develop and/or integrate ICT tools aimed at the collection, processing, management and transmission of data relating to vehicles, the state of infrastructure and users, for the provision of services to increase the efficiency of the infrastructures, the effectiveness of the transport network and the
