The conference of Bologna of July 6 "Digital rights and open data: the foundations for smart cities and communities" organized by the Association of the General States of Innovation had the objective of bringing together three worlds which, by collaborating, can help generate an ideal platform for making a city truly intelligent: smart cities, open geographic data infrastructure, new communication formats . The use and abuse of the term Smart City is now so widespread that at least 4 or 5 events are scheduled in Italy on the subject every month.
